 Not 1080p- lower resolutions OKJul 17, 2010

Cable works fine for 720p/ 1080i, however it won't transmit a 1080p signal from either a PS3 or HD DVD player either directly or through a Pioneer VSX-1020k receiver- you either get no signal in the case of the former or some fuzz in the latter case. Don't know if an additional HDMI booster/ amplifier would solve this.

 Do not buy for 1080p transmissionOct 03, 2010

This is probably one of the worse buy I had in years. After reading the description "1080p and possibly 1440p future", I thought this would be a great buy and believed Amazon's advertisement. I have contractor wired the the cable before putting up the wall so I don't have to see the cable. After room completes, I purchased a project running 1080p. Before hanging the projector, I tested the wire by running a movie from my bluray player, through this cable. However, all I received was "Signal not supported". Fine, it is probably need a signal booster because of the length of the cable. I've tried several signal boosters and all failed (even one on each end). I thought I had bad cable, then I run it through 720p DVD player and my notebook with HDMI, no problem there. Make story short, it was a complete waste of money and now I am stuck with a useless cable in the wall that cannot be replace except opening the wall again. Needless to say, I thought I got a deal, but end up spending 20x money and still don't have a working cable.
My advise, do not buy this cable for 1080p installation.

The $30 HDMI cord that cost me $195.Aug 16, 2010

I was absolutely dissatisfied with my experience with Fanatic Digital. The HDMI cord, itself, is what it is - 50 ft of cable. At this price point, it delivers the expected quality / resolution that I anticipated. However, the shipping was another thing. Namely, I paid nearly double for NEXT DAY shipping to coincide with other installation work, and it arrived FOUR DAYS later. In fact, I ordered another product and had it shipped standard terms (3 - 5 days), and it actually arrived before the next day item. When confronted and asked for a refund for the shipping, the seller explained that "next day shipping" actually means "two-day arrival" from shipping date, which was two days after the order (that is 4 days, for those counting). All I gathered was that they had excuses, and I had no recourse for a dupe that cost $35 in express shipping and $120 in installation delays. If you have time, the prices are good, but the customer service indicates that Fanatic Digital is mass-marketer that will be extinct as soon as its price leverage begins to wane.
