Prone to failure and hard to removeJan 08, 2012

I have experienced eight failures of these contacts over the past three years and I also have found that these contacts are hard to remove. Some contact switches come apart as you are taking them out of window sills and occassionally the wiring breaks loose from the base, leaving retrieval of the alarm wires very difficult.
Better to use contacts with built-in wiring.
