What they don't tell you...Oct 24, 2008

The advertisement on the internet fails to mention a couple of things:
1) The numbers in the combination can be entered in ANY ORDER, exponentially reducing the number of possible combinations. If you choose 2345, you could also open the lock if you push 5432, 3245, any other order of those digits, or if you push those 4 digits simultaneously.
2) The lock as purchased only allows you to choose up to 4 digits for your combination. You have to send away and pay more for the other 2 digits.

Smooth and highly reliableJun 07, 2007

Thirty years ago we installed a similiar lock of the same brand on the front door of another house. It worked consistently well. The kids, who were always losing keys, could get in. Combination is changable by the user. Plus, it takes no batteries, so you're not locked out of the batteries go dead.
Installation took 20 minutes - replacing my existing 20 year old dead bolt. I did need to drill one more 1/4" hole, so a drill is needed.

Very happy with the lock so farOct 11, 2007

Installed without too much hassle, had to do a little drilling and dremel work but then it bolted up. The lock feels solid and smooth. We used to use the garage door (automatic opener) to enter the house, this lock is so convenient that now we use the front door. It's that quick. The only minor negative thing I can say is that the numbers always have to be chosen so that they increase or decrease (there is an A or B you can add)....such as 2478B or 1249A, but this still gives a very large possibility of selections.
Overall, very solid and completely mechanical.

Lockey M210 Keyless DeadboltAug 27, 2009
By beaglemaster Wonderful lock! I love being keyless!
This lock is totally mechanical, no batteries ever. It has a heavy 1 inch throw bolt which can be used to replace a normal deadbolt.
The combination is set with color coded pins inserted in the back of the lock. You can set the lock right or left handed by moving a single pin. If you want to increase the number of combinations you can make, buy a set of extra pins for about $8.
I bought the EZ mount kit ($15) which made installation a breeze - no drilling. All I needed was a screwdriver to swap out the existing deadbolt with the new keyless lock. I installed three of these in about 10 minutes.
The lock has a universal backset which is usually set to 2 3/8. If you need the larger 2 3/4, pull up on the pin while pulling out on the hole until it clicks into place.

Excellent productDec 20, 2007
By Tony Pinckney This lock is very well made, comparable in quality to Schlage Locks. Works very well, I would not hesitate to purchase another.
