bought 2 of this for my surveillance set up. the infrared lights went out quite far and lit up a huge area. the lights are invisible to human eyes, only a slight red glow to the bulbs. heavy duty weatherproof housing also a plus.

My expensive infrared light went out, so I bought one of this Pinecom S-8100 to replace it, surprisely this $87.00 unit works even better then the $299.00 one I got from some other place ! It lights up the object even 150 feet away from my camera. This IR unit has 140 Infrared LED laying on one flat panel, it is using 850nM light wave so a very dim red color with be seen on the light box when it is in a total darkness, but it is not attacting any attention. I believe the vandor also selling a total invisable model using 940nM light wave.

I got this to augment the IR lighting for my security cameras. My intention was to make it so my cameras would pick up all the driveway and most of the side yard as well at night. Well, it does a great job on my driveway or my side yard, but does not spread wide enough for both. It does work about 80% of what I would like so I shouldn't complain, but it would be nice to have a way to direct part of the lights to another direction with as powerful as this thing is. Also, if you are going to get this light, I recommend that you do not direct it near any flower beds because it will reflect off the leaves and create a glare on the camera.

This is all good but as with all IR Lighting equipment the IR LED's do not last more than a year or so. If you get one that does your lucky.
With that said, it is way over priced for the length of time it actually works
