Important consideration hereMar 30, 2010

I installed this as part of the alarm system and this WILL NOT ALARM - UNLESS - you have the system armed (doors at a minimum in home mode).
If you are at home, have the system off, and get a flood, you will not be notified. You can not only arm the flood sensor.
I called Skylink just to confirm this.
I am exchanging it for something that alarms 24/7. I like the rest of the system though.

Works as expectedMay 08, 2009
By O from Reno This sensor worked as it is supposed to. If water touches the sensor portion (at the end of the wire), the sensor is triggered and either the alarm sounds or you could set it up to only have the dialer triggered.
My only complaint is that the sensor on the end of the wire is different than the picture shown on the amazon page. The sensor that actually arrived is a better design in my opinion.
I attached the wireless portion (with the light and button) higher up on the wall, and attached the sensor at the base of the wall with the two sensor leads touching the floor. When water was poured on the floor and contacted the two leads, the sensor was tripped.

So far so good ..... easy to useSep 14, 2009
By M. Jenoff I originally orderd 3 of these units and the Skylink dialer and control panel. Currently I'm using these units with only the dialer and I ordered 4 more. I have the sensors placed throughout my house and they appear to be working well (I've only had them for a week now). Very easy to set up.

Easy Setup And Works As ExpectedJun 12, 2011
By GSP I've only owned this item for a few days, but so far, it has been great. I'm using this with the SkyLink SC-1000 security system. The setup is simple, and it works as expected. It would have gotten 5 stars, except the wire between the sensor and transmitter is too short for my use, only 26" long. And the only way to extend it is to cut/splice it with a new wire. Which will, of course, void any warranty, etc..
