Does its job, but needs a better description.Dec 20, 2011
By GixxerSixxer The housing is tight and appears all the seals will work well. The exit hole for the wires is in a good spot. You could probably avoid needing a drip loop but a pretty minimal drip loop would be a good idea to keep condensation from running into the housing.
I dropped it one star because the power supply must be wired in, there is no jack to plug a 24 volt AC adapter into. This should be in the description. Also, this could make mounting a bit more of a hassle depending on your mounting position. I first mounted the bracket then took the housing off the bracket. With the housing off the bracket it was easier to wire in the AC adapter since I didn't have to stand as high on the ladder.
I dropped it another star because it uses standard Phillips head bolts. These things are supposed to hold cameras that can be pretty expensive. The camera I'm putting in mine is $350. For something like this I was expecting torx head or security head bolts on the exterior. Security heads are like torx head but have a raised circle of metal in the middle to keep regular torx bits from working. I'll be swapping all the external Phillips head bolts out for torx or security head bolts.
